It is one of the must visit mountains around Zell am See. We did paragliding here and it was awesome. You can look at the pictures to see a view. We visited in Summer time so it was nice view, but it can be great place to Skii as well. You need to take the ropeway to go up the hill, of course, you can walk, but can be tough.

Avoid this ski area in February if you're a good skier. Too crowded ski slopes with too many begginers. Better to skip this place and rather to ski in Saalbach area

Absolutely amazing experience! The facilities were immaculately clean, so many incredible saunas, and staff were very helpful and friendly. Everyone spoke English perfectly. Also had a massage, which was great. Prices were comparable to other high-quality thermes in the Alps. Would absolutely come back!

It’s quite a big therme with a big pool with a great view of the mountains. The “Sole bad” area downstairs is very, very small and crowded.It’s quite terrible for first timer because the staff didn’t give any advice or information at all even as we were there, there wasn’t many people in the lobby. I had a ticket only to the thermal bad whereas my husband had a combined ticket to the sauna. It took us a while to find out that he had to use the other lockers. If the staff don’t have time to provide information, the flyer with advices, plans and information would be very helpful.

Impressive place with a massive array of thermal facilities.I didn’t find the spa treatments particularly good or in a nice setting, but the saunas and baths are outstanding. Both indoors and outdoors there are more saunas than you can count, heated to various temperatures and containing different oils/scents. We enjoyed the outdoor area most where you can lie in a heated pool or on a sun lounger with a drink from the bar, surrounded by snow-capped mountains.2-3 hours is a good amount of time to spend there without treatments.

This was a lovely spa day in the mountains. We found it to be very confusing as first time visitors. It can feel like a labyrinth (which is part of the (eventual) fun) but we felt disoriented at first.My suggestions for first time visitors:- Absolutely book online. The line for tickets was out the door when we arrived and did not move quickly. But since we booked tickets ahead of time, we were able to walk to the front to a reservation line. This took a while to figure out but once we did, it was a welcome revelation.- Bring your own towel and robe. Thermes in places like Baden Baden provided towels and other amenities but here everyone brings their own. We were able to rent their towels but had to go back to the very front counter to do so. Not ideal as they dealt with their swarm of people buying tickets. If you buy the sauna access (which you totally should) then having a bath robe is really helpful for moving about and ordering in the restaurant between dips, etc.- We reserved chairs (7€ each for the whole day) but we did not use them. We thought we would lounge and read more but there is so much to explore that we never felt the need to have our own designated space.- Pay attention to the schedule of the saunas and arrive there early to be able to partake in the masks and infusions. If you arrive on time you’ll either not have a seat or you will have missed the mask.All around a really lovely day and would absolutely go back. I would like to see what it is like in Summertime, too.

We were here for my birthday for 2 days in-a-row. We have had access to every part of the spa. So we have visited alsomst everything there.But the best part for me is the adult area with no kids. It's peaceful and quiet there. They have an everyday schedule for different saunas treatments. There is written everything on the board or screen. Some of the treatments have some snacks or/and drink afterwards. The views are amazing. We were also very lucky with the weather.The best birthday gift. 2 amazing relaxing days, and we can't wait to come back.

One of the best thermal baths that we have tried in the area. Outdoor pool is heated, it has a nice view overlooking the mountains. There was plenty of space to enjoy and relax, did not feel overcrowded, however our visit was during the week times.Price for adult 34.50€, which I believe it included the parking space for your car. You could rent their towel for 7€ and a bathrobe for 10€ , but we just took our own .It was a perfect day to spend , as weather was still not very warm.

Lack of information from the staff. We are foreigners, and nothing was explained to us other than how to pay.The facilities are very good. Which are definitely 5 star.But the reception staff needs to perform better.They didnt even ask if we had any towels. Place is nice for a weekend retreat.Water is relatively warm not hot enough personally.The place is equipped with good family facilities with a stunning view should you would like to enjoy the thermal bath. The bathing area is relatively small.

Not very happy about alcohol allowed in the swimming pool area. Some of visitors wash their glasses in the outside thermal pool. If you have a child with you or religiously based you can stay at home. On saturdays Its more like dating site swimming pool So with a small child you feel very uncomfortable. In case you complain about alcohol habit at front desk, you are told that you do not need to be worried about alcohol rests in the water, because Its full of chemicals anyway.

First time experiencing the Kitzski area. Its a very large ski area with lots of variation and long valley runs. The lifts are all very modern, almost every lift is a 6-8 seater with weather bubble and heated seating. Only major con for me is the low elevation. Also didnt like the bus connections in the spring season.If you want to get the most of the skiing, I advise buying the ticket combining the Kitzski & Wilder Kaiser areas, especially if you plan the famous 88km long Kitzskiwelt tour. Though keep in mind that this tour also leads through very low elevation areas, like Ellmau, which are very prone to closing by lack of snow.Conclusion:+ very well connected and modern lifts+ huge area, (+connection to Wilder Kaiser)+ long valley runs+ strong snowmaking+ lots of amazing ski huts with delicious food- low elevation, not very snow sure (booking half a year in advance is not advised), valley runs might not be open,- some lifts (p.ex Fleckalmbahn) open at 8am but the first bus goes at 8:15am from Kirchberg (8:28am after 10. March)- online info not always reliable: weather stations show error, runs marked open that are closed in real. Also some runs that looked still good were closed without a reason.- expensive ski area- from 10. March on only 1 bus every hour between Pengelstein and Ki-West lifts

Skiing was pretty good except for the fact that the buses that are supposed to take you back were not running between the stations. Had to find a taxi to bring us back to Pass Thurn

If I could I would give ZERO!!! Slopes are not prepared. At 11am there are extreme mulds and ice. Would not recommend. Do not choose this region for skiing!!!!

Chaos! They shut the cable car link between Jochberg and Kitzbühel (the weather seemed quite benign to me, but I'm not complaining about this), leaving hundreds of skiers stranded on the wrong side of the resort. There were no messages on the mountain about what to do, but luckily others seemed to know. So we skied down to Jochberg to find hundreds of people waiting for a bus. None came. The cable car shut early in the day, so why was there no contingency plan? Tiny busses came and went, already quite full on arrival. Eventually we squeezed onto one with our kids, which was dangerously full, people being thrown around every time the bus turned. We arrived home 2 hours later. What a complete joke. Surely this must happen quite a lot and why do they not have a plan for it. On subsequent days we did not want to ski to the other side of the resort in case it happened again. Unfortunately this officially l probably means we won't visit the resort again. It's crazy busy in any case.

Great resort with good lifts in a nice, quiet, beautiful and welcoming town. Was there during the week and it was not very crowded. Good food at base and huts. The runs were well groomed. The only regret is they we didn’t have more time there. Will definitely return. Loved staying at Gamshof hotel!

We had the chance to ski for 2 days. it was a great weather and the slopes are georgeus. There are many different lifts available. If you want to see all the slopes, one day is not enough, you can only ski the whole mountain in 3-4 days. There are restaurants in many different points. A great destination for a ski holiday. Daily skipass in peak season is 65 euro per person

Its just about 300 meters from Kitzbühel center. Thera is a big parking and rental ski shops just next to it. Within 15 minutes you can reach the top of the mountain.The scenary and the ride to the top is so breathtaking!!

Very nice place. The ticket is about 25 EUR but the view is splendid. It feels a bit expensive in summer however the view is very nice. There is no vegetarian restaurant at the mountain top. Hence I would suggest to carry our own food at mountain top. You might want to eat something at mountain top considering the view , which is fabulous. However only drinks are served which is not do good during lunch time.

It's a nice ski resort especially for skiers who want to improve. There are several small black sections especially on the Kirchberg side. The lifts were a bit crowded in the morning but the resort is quite big and it's not hard to find quieter corners (even during weekends).

Indeed this is an interesting and exciting experience. One can find themselves in a medieval atmosphere, try being imprisoned, try on a knight's helmet and gloves, observe the variety of cannons, enter the dungeons, well and many many more.the views from the castle are amazing! Definitely a recommendation.

Excellent place to visit, lot of stuff to see and a spectacular view !!

A clashing point from the old times between Tyrol and Bavaria. There are some interesting displays and videos (with English subtitles!), but some areas are a bit dated and badly lit. At noon every day you can hear the great organ playing and they hold events from time to time. If you're in the Kufstein area, it's worth a visit.

This was a highlight on our Germany trip. The fortress is really incredible. It was very, very cold when we went so we did hurry through some of it. If you have mobility issues parts of this will be difficult to manage. On the top of the wall you can get spectacular views of the city. A nice gift shop is also available with a few nice local made wares but a larger selection of imports.We enjoyed this just as much as Salzburg and it wasn't nearly as crowded.If you go be sure to eat at Purlepons. Great Bavarian good and atmosphere.

This fortress is not so interesting by itself, the fact that there use to be a political prisen, and had famose priseners is a plus. There all so is a free morning fuge concert, that is very nice.

Interesting exhibition about life in a castle and the history of Kufstein Fortress.Due to the extensive grounds, the fortress is not overcrowded despite the high number of visitors.Gastronomy is available on the premises.the fortress is an attraction worth seeing, especially for families with children.

At first I was hesitant to visit it but I don't regret it. It was definitely a good decision. The fortress is really huge and in good condition. Amazing views. You can walk there for hours. Recommend to come before 12PM as at 12 pm there is a small concert with the organ. The maestro is playing famous melodies of the visitors' locations. Must attend place!

A truly wonderful Castle. I visited it during the Ritterfest and I enjoyed every corner of It. It gives you a wonderful view of the Town and of the Inn's surroundings. A true Pearl!

Interesting stop driving from Cortina to Munich. Great walk around both inside and out to learn about the history of the fortress. Great museum and quite an impressive collection of historical artifacts.

the story behind this medieval fortress, the role of Maximilian 1 in it and the battles between Bavarians and tyrol till the ww2 is really impressive.a very nice shop at the entrance, 14€/adult. take first the bahn to the top with a view to the old city. the fortress is divided in Block A B C and D. with towers, prisons, armory, old pumps and tunnels and many more you will see in this place. in addition a very talented guy play the Organ every day at 12.00 Pm and you feel the sound from the Pfiferturm. it is really an iconic place.many platforms with awesome view to the city/river.duration visit 3 hrs.

I love the castle and it’s worth visiting. Even just walking around outside in the park is amazing.The walk from the ferry dock was not strenuous but on a warm day could leave one sweating. There is an ice cream stand near the end of the trail for those needing a cool indulgence.The palace is rich with history, you will enjoy it with a guided tour. The cafe offers varieties of drinks with limited food selection. The fountains in front of the palace and sculptures in and around the palace are impressive and you can stand and admire for longer time.

A breathtaking incomplete palace constructed by Ludwig the second in the middle of a scenic lake. I highly recommend paying the 3€ for the carriage ride from the ferry, it really added to the whole experience of arriving at the gardens

Forbidden to take photos inside the place. The guided tour takes 40 min, and it is nice. The journey from the train station to the place can be done by a nostalgic train, and a boat. Tickets are sold near the train station

The island is great. Lots of alleys for a walk in the nature. You can spot deers. The palace is the highlight of the visit. It is very well maintained. The rooms are fantastic. It is very sad that Ludwig didn't managed to finish all of them. You should definitely visit it. They have a translated leaflet for all languages.

Boat return ticket to the island is 10€ per person or 27€ for the family of four. Additionally, the castle ticket which you can buy on the island is 10€ per person for a guided tour. It was all worth it as the place and the surroundings are incredible. There is a café and a restaurant inside the castle to have a break after the tour.

They say the journey is more exciting than the destination, Neues Schloss Herrenchiemsee is an ideal example. It starts with a boat ride beside Chiemsee Lake with crystal blue water. You can take your boat to reach the destination and enjoy the scenic view of a dream house and the islands inside the lake. Once you reach the castle don't get astounded by the beautiful sculptures and exquisite rooms built by King Ludwig 2. Take a ticket to roam inside the castle under guidance and explore the museum inside the same building. Behind the castle, a green lawn bounded by trees narrows down towards the sea assembling an aesthetic view.

We walk round trip from docks to the palace, not that far, could enjoy the surroundings. The palace is beautiful as like as the Versailles palace in Paris France, ashamed that they not allowed recording any video or photos inside the palace. Worth it and I love it.

Great place to visit for a few hours to see the palace and the grounds or a full day if you also want to stroll around the island. The ferry ride to and from the island is decently quick, and the palace tour, which we did not do, is around 40 minutes or so. The grounds are beautifully maintained and peaceful, and the fountains run on a timer about every 15 or so minutes, so it is worth taking your time to enjoy the scenery.

So much recommended, the best ever visited castle. It even beats the Versailles in Paris. So beautiful to visit the outside and the inside. For students it’s only 9€ and for adults in general 10€. So worth the price. To reach the island you can buy a ticket on the boat for 10.50 €

AKA…”The Bavarian Sea” …a really amazing surprize to find a truly enormous and lovely lake in the middle of that beautiful mountainous region…so nice to take a hike along its shores…whether in summer …or mid winter as the attached photo of me depicts…always so nice to take a ferry to visit the astounding and gorgeous HERRENCHIEMSEE PALACE…situated on an isle within the lake …commissioned and built by Ludwig of Bavaria …it gives Versailles ( apparently in some ways its inspiration) a run for its money …note when in this beautiful hood…makes sense to take a side trip to also see the fabulous NEU SCHWANSTEIN ( the inspiration for the Walt Disney castle btw)…yet another simply fabulous structure that Ludwig built …and which now continues to delight and amaze all who visit 💯🙏🏻👍🏻☺️✨✨✨

Beautiful lake with bot rides and water activities

My visit to Lake Starnberg in the evening was a magical experience. I hopped on the RE from Munich, and in under 20 minutes, I was there, right before sunset. The lake's vastness and depth left me in awe, and it's my go-to place for a relaxing run. The tranquility of the evenings by the lake is something I look forward to escaping the city's chaos.

Very peaceful. The lake was very calm, and there is a cafe morth of the lake if you're hungry.

The lake and the surrounding area are absolutely gorgeous, particularly in autumn. But it's also nicer on a summer day when you can actually see on the other side of the lake. The woods around are perfect for a stroll, and close to the harbour, there are many places to grab food, coffee or snacks. Very lovely if you happen to be in the area, but probably you should not go out of your way to see this place if you have other plans.

Very nice and peaceful, especially in the early morning hours

One of the most beautiful lakes in Bavaria and indeed a great place to take a boat/cruise ride, ride or drive around it, swim in to and of course to enjoy the spectacle of the Alps visible on the southern end...The lake is surrounded by 8-9 beautiful villages.. Starnberg being the biggest and most popular of them... where the lake also gets its name from.There are many parks and bathing grounds around the entire lake too...some private some public.. though in the summers there's a problem of mosquitoes around the areas that are too green.

I visited in early March so I experienced most of the Winter breeze. You can arrive at this place by taking either an S6 from Hauptbahnhof heading towards Tutzing or RE Bahn from München Hbf (near Hauptbahnhof) to Starnberg.This lake is spanned across a very large area, and you can enjoy the view from many stations from Starnberg onward. There are local food joints and souvenirs shops.When I visited, it was almost sunset and the sky became really beautiful. I highly recommend this place to be visited in the evening.

Amazing nature and peaceful surroundings.

Great place to go during the summer months. The beach is great for swimming and cooling off. This is a rock “beach” Not sand. Really tough to get in and out of the water comfortably without them. There is a small town part to get ice cream, snacks and food. Definitely gets crowded when it’s hot.

The amount of detail that is put into this place is amazing. You can find out anything about technology, from microchips, cameras/photography, to modern stuff like robotics and space shuttles. I would suggest arming yourself with a bag of popcorn, a big cola, 6 hours of free time and a lot of patience to have a great experience.

Amazing place if you are here to learn. The museum has almost everything science and technology from robotics to encryption and everything in between! You can spend weeks and months here without getting bored!There are also live demonstrations every hour during weekend (only in German though)!Would highly recommend to visit this place!

Great place to take kids for a day of fun and learning! It is a great science museum with many interactive displays, topics and historic through modern objects on display. We went in mid March, a weekday and there was no wait and no hassle. Very nice old architecture on the outside and nice location on the river.

Great place, lots of fun. There are 6 different levels, takes a ton of time to visit them all. Friendly note: 5-6PM you can get in for free. I know it's far from sufficient to go through everything, but it's at least something.

Definitely a museum that deserves 5 stars. It explains very well what civilization is. There are many places to visit in different branches. It's a great place for kids too. There are very nice activities and applications that they can try and do. 14 euros per person. There is a family discount. I would recommend it to everyone.

Really cool place of you love engineering. It os a very visual experience and there are a lot of things to explain here. It doesn't feel like it is a place dedicated for kids so adults can also have fun in their knowledge exploration. There is a lot of information and it is really well designed but I strongly recommend choosing a section sticking to it and enjoy on part of the museum as there is too much to see. Each section really delves into details and it will be impossible to grasp everything in one go.

This is a really cool museum with plenty to see, also a very big variation. Everything from airplanes to harvest equipment. A very interesting museum, but it is very crowded usually with a lot of school classes visiting it and generally a very long queue to the entrance, but if you are interested in technology it is totally worth the waiting time.

went on a sunday and the line outside was almost an hour to get the 1 euro ticket. so we bought the normal priced tickets and entered. the wait didn’t seem worth it given the rainy condition outside. but really loved all of the exhibitions in the museum. the script coded and math area have fun puzzles you can solve! those were my favorite areas since we could have fun. the space and airplanes are also really good.

A very big museum with a lot of interesting things!There's a lot of expositions where you can interact with it, and for me that's a most have for a museum about technology.The price is a little bit expensive (14 euros for adults) but there are some discounts ( 4,5 euros for students).What confuses me is that the minimum payment by credit card is 20 euros... That's really not convenient for tourists

A lot of exhibits, various things and a lot to learn. The museum is very well organized, many interactive items, several places where you can have a quick snack, drink a cofee or a beer. If you plan to visit it reserve at least 4 hours from your time to do that.I strongly recommend visiting this place!

One of the most entertaining museums I’ve ever visited. There are numerous exhibits that facilitate learning. I recommend planning to spend the entire day there. It is definitely worth visiting multiple times. There is a special room where only adults accompanied by children are allowed; you cannot enter without a child.

It takes a long time to buy tickets, because many school students go there together. It's better to set aside a day to visit the museum. Personally, I feel that this museum is very suitable for scientific enlightenment. It has a basic and comprehensive display of agricultural science, technology, music, aviation and industry.

This is a HUGE museum, so don’t expect to see it all in one day, but it truly has so much to offer adults and kids. The exhibits are extremely educational and well-curated, and the location is great as well. You can go for a stroll along the Isar afterwards! They also have a restaurant with a rooftop terrace which gets pretty crowded on nice days, but it’s a great atmosphere!

All about science. The museum is a super cool place for people of all ages, kids and adults alike, really interactive, interdisciplinarily informative and overall a worthy experience for science lovers. To explore everything in details one may spend a whole day there, but normally about 4 hours is already pretty overwhelming. One thing to improve is the info screens that do not always work, as the videos do not play. Clean toilets and overall high accessibility.

The best technic museum I've ever seen. A lot of interesting stands and information.Also I recommend to download an app of museum with a map and excursion.It took more than 3 hours to see only a big part of the building but not the whole.I recommend visiting this museum for families with kids. Possibly the best museum I have ever been to. Ranging from aircraft to an entire section on suspension bridges. As well as model railways, scientific discoveries, musical instruments — you name it. You definitely need a full day to see it all — if not multiple days! I particularly liked how the pendulum from the outside clock tower hangs all the way down the central staircase to the ground floor, where you can watch it swinging.

As the bigger part of the museum is under renovation until 2028, there is a new part of the museum that is still accessible. The ticket costs 15€. I loved the quantum physics section, satellites, and optical instruments. Other sections are bridges, farming, medicine and musical instruments. More sections such as microbiology are still under construction. Can easily spend 4 hours here. Not suitable for children as the topics are quite complicated.

It was one of the best experiences of my visit to Munich. The entrance remains far from the place shown on the Google map, you will see the entrance after you take the river to your right and pass the clock tower. This museum also has a living historical heritage. You really need to spend a full day here. Explanations, redirects, interactive areas and much more welcome you.You will learn about the future, planetarium, mine, chemistry, world war 2, planes, space, rockets, science, technology, music, alchemy and many other areas, and you will see very high-quality things that belong to the history, present and future. The Deutsches Museum is a treasure for all science lovers. Exhibits cover almost all areas of science such as Robotics, Aerospace, Electronics, Maths, etc. They also organize workshops and demos so that visitors can get a hands on experience. The museum is so big that you can practically spend an entire day there and still not be done with seeing everything. There is a small cafe inside where you can get coffee, cold drinks and snacks. Plenty of washrooms too.

The most enjoyable museum experience I have ever had! Great for engineering and science related people. And also great for kids, free to kids under 6.Great place to spend a full day. Tons of technical experience to enjoy!

Amazing collection! I loved the robotics, aviation, astronomy and consumer electronics halls. Some of the displays are geared towards a younger audience while others should be interesting for all ages. It’s way too big to see in one go so I hope to be back someday.

An amazing clock tower with so much ornate detail. It was very busy even on Monday, I would recommend you go on a weekday. The clock rings 3 times a day in the summer. 2 in the winter. Amazing sight to see nonetheless.

A nice central plaza that lies in the heart if the city connecting between its main streets and shopping malls. You can sit there for the whole day enjoying the traditional bakery and watching the freelancer artists doing their musical performance. Got money to waste ? You can do all your shopping from the near by shops. Apple is by the corner😍.

Main square. Very beautiful architecture, with non-standard design of balconies and stained glass windows. Each part of the buildings is unique in its own way. When you stand on this square, you temporarily forget that today is the 21st century - the surrounding environment takes you to the Middle Ages, the time of knights. This square is truly the historical center of Munich.

Beautiful structure very much like the Gothic style in Barcelona. Nice lively area easy to get to and from on the metro and trams. Tons of restaurants and shopping. There is a cute show at 5 pm in the tower with real knights and music. Kids would love it .

A perfect place that offers many different options to enjoy a nice beer in the outdoors. The old city center of Munich is a place you can sit, stand, watch for hours with ornate detail and people watching.Sadly we missed the final Glockenspiel show of the day (17:00) but there were plenty of other bells to enjoy throughout the hour.

This place is incredible, you could stare at this building all day and still not see all the details. We went back to see the glockenspiel, at 5pm. The building could not be any more impressive. The performances in the square were entertaining too. It's definitely a spot you don't want to miss if you are in Munich. The train will take you directly there if you aren't in walking distance. There are many restaurants and shops nearby.

This town square is a must visit in Munich. The architecture is simply gorgeous, with its unique balconies and windows designs/colors. There are many street stalls selling foods and drinks, souvenirs and branded stuff. Also, numerous street artists were performing when we were there. This further adds to the colorfulness and character of the area. The design makes us forget that we are in the modern days and takes us back to many centuries ago.There are lots to see, shop, eats for every taste and individual, from beer markets to restaurants. Our family of 4 enjoyed ourselves thoroughly here. Pity we were here on a day trip only. Will come back if we have the chance.

Awesome city centre in Munich. The city square is always vibrant with a lot going on. Adjoining streets are also highly interesting. A great place for shopping and dining. Also a fabulous place just for taking in the energy and sights without having to spend a single cent.

For me, this was the highlight of Munich. I enjoyed sitting here and watch people going by. The clock event start at 12 and 5 pm, and it was very nice. The place would be packed at these times, so you may want to come earlier to pick a good location. It's also good that subway station is right there, so it's very easy to access. There are also many food and stuff to eat there.

Just perfect for enjoying your beer out in the open, there are many bars or cafe around. And of course… the expensive shopping nearby. Any brand you can think of, you will find it here.

A nice place in the center of city with beautiful and amazing central location in Munich. The architecture is beautifully done. the central square is spacious and you can have a walk around old historical buildings as well as observe monuments around. They worth taking pictures of.The main reason people love to visit here is its atmosphere at the time of ticking clock tower with dancing dolls. It has couple of very tall towers from where you can have breathtaking views of Munich city.It’s a crowded place because main shopping street next to it. A lots of shopping stores, cafes & restaurants around for quick shopping or grabbing a quick bite.Don’t drive there because parking is bite far but best traveling by subway. If you are planning to visit Munich, this place is a must visit.

It's an absolutely beautiful building. The clock tower rings out, high above the other buildings and through the streets. The figures dance around on a carousel. There are statues and dragons and works of stone from a very long time ago. Many people gather around, taking photos and videos as it chimes. Inside has some interesting features, like gargoyles and spiral staircase, more statues and some doors to walk through. Check it out.

Marienplatz is one of it's kind. The best thing is every time I visit here the weather is different, the vibe is all together different and mostly the historic charm blends so nicely into this free modern culture. Do enjoy the pics posted here from all season visits.

My first Germany travel experience was here in the center of Munich. While the adventure thru the airport and onto the train can be daunting, the reward of seeing the beautiful architecture of Munich was well worth it. Walking this area along with the market was a wonderful experience that I hope to do again.

Layover tour while transiting through Munich. I had 5.5 hours and easily took the train to Marienplatz, walked a couple of hours and back to the airport in time. Unfortunately I arrived into Marienplatz a bit too early and nothing really opens until 11am. But I enjoyed the square less busy on a crisp spring morning.

It's my 3rd time visiting Marienplatz & I am absolutely in love with this place. It's always buzzing with people & there was good music playing the background ( when we went there this time there was a small band performance). The 2024 Eurocup was underway so it was more crowded than expected but it had its own beauty as people were so cheerful, all dressed up for the Eurocup & everyone had a glass of beer 🍺🍻🍻. This place is easily accessible by the U3 Metro & a must visit tourist destination.

A big square in Munich. The tower is the old city hall, where marvellous decorations were well situated. Really enjoy the atmosphere here for all th le foreigners. The carts sells all kinds of food and beer, wothy visiting. Every one hour time, there is the sculptureas rounding march on the tower.

It’s great to have 900 acres garden right in the middle of a big city. It had water body, green lawns, forest feeling, beer hall for 7000 people, peaceful pathways, river and on top of it surfing. It was amazing.Not to missed in Munich !!

Lovely place to walk, cycle, run or sun bathe! You can even watch surfers take turns and show off their skills by the river!

This place is gorgeous and the beer garden is a delightful place for lunch. We walked around for hours and enjoyed the shade and flowing water. So many little places to stop and get a drink or relax. Very peaceful.

What a beautiful park. Very clean and perfect to walk or ride your bike. If you want a peaceful time to read a book or try surfing or swimming in the river, this is the best place. Lots of fun!

One of the best places in Munich to do any kind of outdoor activities. The popular English Garden has beautiful landscapes as well several facilities to do recreational activities including walking, running, playing games, cycling, surfing, having beer, gluwein and many more. It is also beautiful and charming even in winter.

A place to visit when in Munich. The English Garden is the largest city park in the world, very peaceful, has many walking paths, places to sit and have a picnic or stop at the Chinese Tower where you can buy delicious food and drinks. Don't miss the unique surfing on the river Eisbah in the English Garden.

Beautiful place but due to the winter season it was very grayish and of course the water was frozen. It should one of the most green/colorful place during summer and autumn.

Huge, close to town, and beautiful. You can swim, enjoy a crate of beer there, sunbathe, even surf. It does get very crowded on summer afternoons, so perhaps come in the morning from April-August. There’s plenty of shade by the sides and a couple of beer gardens for a bite and a drink. Police regularly has a presence in the area.

One of my favorites spots in Munich.During summer is full of people and you can do many activities there. To play volleyball you need your own nett but eventually you also can ask to join others team. You can swim and do the famous and traditional jump from the bridge at Isar. I always go with my friends, but sometimes after work I go there just to relax, feel some sun and read my book.

Such a beautiful place to visit to see all the locals and tourists out and about, there is something for everyone. I spent a good 5/6hrs just wandering around, checking out the surfers, live music and seeing the sites. Def worth a visit

This place is gorgeous and the beer garden is a delightful place for lunch. We walked around for hours and enjoyed the shade and flowing water. So many little places to stop and get a drink or relax. Very peaceful. On warmer days you'll see people surfing as well as concerts. Make sure to stop for a drink and some food as well.

Lots of open meadows and even dirt walking paths for both bicyclists and joggers. Two rivers traverse the park so it's easy to navigate without many signs along the winding paths

This place has a large grass area, you can chit chat with your friends, play voleyball, sometimes even swim. There are a lot of people on weekends it is jam packed but still fun tho. Oh and you can watch surfers surf against the stream, pretty cool.

Definitely a park to visit when in Munich. The English garden is very peaceful, there are many walking trails, places to sit and have a picnic or stop at the Chinese Tower where you can purchase delicious food and drinks. Don't miss the area where the river surfing 🌊 takes place. Usually 10 or more surfers line up to get their turn. All ages, young and old! We were here at the end of September 2023. Beautiful weather and really enjoyed our stroll though the park. There are maps to help you not get lost, as the park is quite large. Many tours go to the English garden, biking tours, walking tours and we ever saw horseback riding (but not sure if that was a tour). Most of the trails we were on were paved and wide. Enjoy!

A wonderful park to spend time for locals and tourists alike. Beautiful during any season. Try swimming in the Eisbach river and check out the surfers at the standing wave. Enjoy some beer at the Chinese Tower in summer or mould wine in winter. The Seehaus beer garden is also lovely to visit when the sun is shining.

This may have actually been my favorite place in Munich. Right in the middle of the city is a huge park. Luckily our hotel was right next to the park. I went for a run and/or walk every day in the park. There are so many trails that only was able to get to a small portion of the park, but it seemed very safe and it was so green with lots of rivers, streams, lakes and ponds. There are also Reataurants/Beer gardens spread throughout the park.

The Englischer Garden in Munich is very similar to Central Park in the United States and Stanley Park in Vancouver. It is very large, and walking or exercising here is very comfortable. I recommend that everyone who visits Munich should come and see it, especially since there don’t seem to be many places to visit in Munich.

It's located close to the city center. Peaceful to take a walk. I visited on Saturday. I entered after visiting the Hofgarten. I love to be close to water, and there is a river where people surf, there are many ducks. I spent a while taking pictures and videos. If you continue walking along the river you will see place where one can buy food and drinks, that was nice, I needed warm drink. Next time would walk further to the other side.

An amazing park in the heart of Munich.The park is huge and finishing without a break in a one day is really hard, impossible for me :DThere are different section in this park and even you can pass by bus as well.

I took the tour and then went into the museum. As a football fan I had always wanted to go to this stadium. The guide was very clear, he took us to the most important places, and answered every question that people did. The experience was great, however as they were fixing/preparing the grass, it was impossible to appreciate the soccer field in a 100%. I recommend to visit it during the season, and during the afternoon/night, when the stadium coverage is on (mainly red).

A must visit if you are visiting Munich. Will advise to buy tickets in advance if you want to see full Arena in tour. Very amazingly made. All facilities are worth seeing. We missed seeing the night when the Arena gets lit up but still we enjoyed seeing it. A must must visit for sure.

Great stadium. The tour and museum are fantastic full of history. Tickets aren't too expensive really great value. Definitely recommend a visit when visiting Munich

It's a legendary place, we just wanted to enter the stadium and see it, but the packages are not only entered into the stadium; There are only two museum tours or museum+stada entrance. I can't say that the prices are extremely affordable, but when we went, they were on sale sometimes, but beware, they may be closed on some days. Other than that it's beautiful.

Good location just next to U6 subway but also not a lot around as a city, such as touristic activities. Most people visit here and that's all that's around the area (compared to many other parts of Munich city).Entry fee isn't bad, and there's a museum to explore and appreciate trophies, or even buy a jersey.Not a bad experience but niether great except you're here as football enthusiast.

Amazing stadium, the entirety of the place is truly great, from the U-bahn station created solely for the stadium, the views. Every part of it is amazing, the tour through the inside was great and being able to have a little more insight on what the players see before a match is amazing.

Good overall, the stadium is a little lacking compared to others I've done. Be good if you're a die hard but think the museum is worth it. Very easy to get to and back into the city thanks you the great rail network of Munich

Always like to see a place like this. Even I came quite late for the tour and outside was nearly to a heavy storm but no doubt that this place is great to visit.Definitely one more reason why to come back and enjoy the atmosphere of full stadium during a game. Even as a fan of different club that will be a great experience to see it on my own💪

During our visit to the Alianz Arena and FC Bayern museum, we couldn't help but notice a pile of trash right at the entrance from the parking lot. It was a bit off-putting, considering the reputation of the venue. Additionally, after purchasing our tickets, we encountered a challenge as there was no one available to provide further information in English. This language barrier was a bit frustrating.On a positive note, the stadium itself was impressive, and the museum offered a decent experience. However, there was something lacking in the overall atmosphere. Perhaps more friendly and smiling faces among the staff or additional elements to enhance the visitor experience would have made a significant difference. In the end, the visit fell short of our expectations, leaving room for improvement in certain aspects of the overall environment.

Best stadium in the world. Home of the best team ever.Also, the food at the stadium is pretty decent. In other countries stadium food quality is bad and could even make you sick, but here it's really nice. Also they have the bistro and the fantreffen. Fantreffen is very fun. Definitely recommend staying after the game and enjoying the fan atmosphere

Very good stadium for away fans with no insane hold back times after the match and little animosity from staff/home fans. Can also go into home section to grab an alcoholic beer. Only complaint is the far walk to the stadium for away fans plus the amount of stairs up to away end.

What an incredible experience! We loved walking around the BMW museum. There is so much to see and it is all presented on such unique ways. You could spend the whole day in here and see the history of BMW from its founding days until now. I highly recommend visiting this if you are in Munich and love cars.

The museum is excellent, a huge number of specimens. All years and eras of production. There were no queues to enter. Lots of motorcycles, cars, engines, car frames. A walk of 3 hours or more.. Very interesting and impressive.

Absolutely magnificent museum. It is carefully curated and all the areas give some sense of the history of BMW, and for fans and just curious people alike, it is thoroughly recommended.We only spent one hour and a half there, because they closed at 18:00. But I feel like it would take maybe 2-3h to see the Museum perfectly, understanding everything so beautifully displayed there.

From our side, the ticket pricing is okay as for what you can see inside. Of course not everything is inside. For example would be nice to see the gallery of BMW 7s as well as we have seen for 5 series. But still there is plenty to see. Place is popular, good to buy tickets online. Our children liked it a lot. We came by subway.

Building looks cool from the outside and the museum design and path are really good, some nice voice features I've never seen before. Some of the bike areas empty but all cars and engine(mostly Formula and planes) sections are great(especially the f1 and and the touring racing). Price is reasonable for 1.5h - 2h museum.

Amazing museum to visit. The BMW Welt is connected to the BMW Museum by a pedestrian bridge. The BMW Welt is free to visit , but the BMW museum costs 10 euros. It worth every penny. The museum is dome shaped and the welt is four cylinder building. Many amazing cars and bikes to see. The factory tour was one of my favorites. We got to see how different parts are made.

Every enthusiasts dream place but as much as it was interesting and had some good cars/bikes it sort of lacked my expectations.I wanted more, more M cars, Alpinas, maybe even a car to sit in but it's all a bit bland considering. You need at least 2 hours to visit the museum, catching some live tours or explanations from the museum staff. Across the street you can visit for free the BMW showroom showcasing new models, but also having some rare exhibitions sometimes.

Amazing place. Fan boy or not this place has great history to show. All the cars at the museum are very unique and are described with great depth of detail which all the history behind the vehicles. If you are in the Munich or are at a close city I recommend visiting. A must see! Loads of gifts shops available at entrance of museum and at the BMW Welt area. Canteen has all sorts of hot and cold food so it won’t be difficult to plan your day here. It has a large car park finding space is not a struggle and it’s not expensive. Bays are large all sorts of vehicles can fit there no problem.

We expected more from the museum itself, where new cars and motorcycles are top notch, museums don’t provide headphones, the history and eras are completely incomprehensible, you need to take a guided tour, there at certain times. The site for purchasing online tickets does not work, the site is bad. There's a line outside, we're frozen, try buying online and you'll be invited. Not the first museum, but a completely terrible organization.

Wow, honestly wow, very impressive and a great day out. The only negative was from a staff, who was woman working in the BMW Lifestyle store who was scolding pretty much most of the kids not to touch any of the items for sale as she’s got to rearrange them. An excellent museum, which you must visit if you are in Munich. Large historical collection of cars and motorcycles, marine and aircraft engines.Considering the very large number of models, it leaves you breathless, even if you are not a fan of BMW. Everything is clearly marked and if you follow the numbers, you will visit the entire museum without any problems. Since you cannot bring Russian money into the museum, they have lockers that are locked by inserting a €1 coin, which you take back later when you take your things. Tickets are only €10. Very friendly staff, who will be happy to help you with any ambiguities. We were there on Saturday, given the excellent organization, we entered without waiting. I repeat, if you are in Munich, it is really worth paying €10 to visit this museum!

Nice touristy place but huge crowds over the weekend. I think the Ettal looks beautiful if you hike around the place. Huge parking.

Loved the beer and pork knuckle! We popped by on our way down from Munich to St. Anton. Will love to head back for more beer in the summer!

I know some people think this place is too tourist, and mass production factory, but I enjoy it...and usually come early before the rush.Arrive well before noon, ideally 11am...that is when the restaurant opens.Share a litre beer, share a pork knuckle...they are large and sharing the cost makes it a bit better.The whole monastery is not open to the public, but the baroque style layout of the church is worth a visit. Slip into the small chapel to tge side, and say a pray of thanks.Pick a good day, even during the weekdays 80% of the tables are occupied by 12noon

I wish I could rate the Monastery on multiple levels, as a pilgrimage site, a brewery and a restaurant. I hope my pictures do justice to what you will see in the Monastery. A beautifu , prayerful environment. Well worth the time to visit and to refresh yourself spiritually and bodily.

Andechs Monastery was nice. Many people on Sunday. Few restaurants around. Self services and serve by waiter also available but require advance booking otherwise not even half seat available for you. But can always go to self service side. Definitely have to try their beer. Very good and smooth. Their alcohol free beer tasted like real beer and smooth. The monks did a very good job in making the beer. However the cheese made by monk is not easy to find. I couldn’t get to try one. Their pork knuckle are huge! I couldn’t finish. Have to bring another half back home. They have paper bag for you to put the food to take away if can’t finish. Their pretzel 🥨 also very big. However their potato salad don’t looks attractive but their taste very good when eat with sausage and pork knuckle.Andechs Monastery located on top of hill and they have really nice view too. Many people cycling there but also big parking place to park your car and walk up to the hill with nice things around. Like their herbs (natural pharmacy herbs), their arts..

Short walking feom the public parking to the top of the hill where the monestery is located, whrete the main point is the bavarian restaurant with a panoramic view over the distant meadows.

lovely castle with a lot of local and traditional decoration and souvenir. the canteen is really authentic, you have to wait in line for the canteen and surprisingly you can pay with card. what is interesting is that on the back of the castle? There is a park full of sculpture, dedicated to the art and beer drinking, which represent the local drinking culture

My two friends took me here for a bike ride from Munich. It is absolutely beautiful, the food served is beyond anything you'd get in any restaurant, the beer's are great (size and taste). Next time I'm in Germany, I'll be back and of course with my trustee companions

Very beautiful and peaceful place. The church is amazing. Baroque style 🤩. You can easily drive to the convent using the bus (951) directly from the train station. I recommend to go early and watch the service. They also have a good german restaurant and a brewery, there you can have a beer tasting and an tour.

I lived in Bavaria for five years decades ago and it was such a treat to be able to return with Bavarian friends and show Andechs to my husband and young adult children.The pretzels, obatzda (savory/tart cheese spread), and beer were delicious, it was so precious to see a service in the monastery cathedral and I found a beautiful little necklace in the giftshop.Note the famous dopple bock type of beer invented by monks centuries ago which contains all the good ingredients needed to make bread. This was introduced in beer form so the monk's Lenten time fast (the fast in the days prior to celebrating Jesus Christ's death and resurrection at Easter) would not be interrupted.Parking is free to this piece of historical Bavaria and Kloster Andechs is well worth the visit.

Worthwhile to visit. A beautiful cathedral and restaurant. It's recommended to pay attention to the Andechser agricultural section around the monastery. Outstanding milk products in all varieties.

People say this is the place to get the best beer in Germany. I definitely had my best radler here on our trip. The food was also good and is served cafeteria style. You have a choice to hike from a nearby parking lot/bus station or you can hike all the way up from the town of Herrshing. It is a slightly difficult hike uphill through forest and a little bit of meadow. If you enjoy hiking then it will be worth it to you, if it’s a hot day just take the bus.

An absolute must if you are in the Munich area. A true highlight of our trip. It was rainy and cold when we visited so we didn't get to experience the biergartenbut inside was great too. Excellent beer and the food was one of a kind. Best meal we had the entire trip.

What an interesting place to visit. Outstanding monument of architecture with beautiful ornaments inside. Beautiful architecture and awesome art work inside. You can see the tower from far as it’s tall and located at very high hill. There's a lovely hiking trail from the nearby train station in Herrsching up to the monastery, definitely recommended to get that trail because that’s really lovely walk in green area.When I was there, it was busy over the top. The beer was excellent as is all German beer, and the food was fantastic too. The Pilgrimage church is currently an active monastery so do watch thier closing times as are early due to prayer. The monastery has plenty of free parking however it's a bit of a short but steap walk from the parking.

Small church with nice but windy view from the tower for just 1€. Recommended if you don't have fear of heights. The wooden steps are really small the higher you get. I heard 200 steps overall.

The boat trip to Weltenburg was fun. 40 min to get there and 20 min to return to Kelheim. Around 13 euros 2 way trip per person. Boats available every 1 hour. We went on Monday (May 23, 2022). I wish they accept credit cards in the boat. Only cash :(. Beer was delicious. The tour was fun 🤩

The monastery "Kloster Weltenburg" is very easy to reach by boat from Kelheim. A five-minute walk from the pier.You enter the monastery courtyard through a large gate.Opposite you can see some monastery buildings and the monastery church. The beer garden serves excellent monastery beer and hearty food.A small ferry takes you to the opposite bank, from where you can return to Kelheim on foot or by bike.A must see, when you visiting the region.

Wonderful place, it seems to be in a fairy tale... The boats, the river Donau and the cliffs, the impressive monastery, the brewery, the wide valley... sit down near the river and admire the unique 1st Bayern National Park.

Last time I was here was 20years ago definitely alot more people come here now then back then. I don't recommend the big boat it's crowded and not nearly as nice as hiking through the forest trails you encounter very few ppl and the hike is beautiful as the forest is old and has little bits of history within to discover. There is a small boat called Zille that will take us across the river for alot less $$ this same boat will also take you half way down the river on the way back to access a different trail. Weltenburg itself is a beautiful monastery beer is great food is good to but it's def become a tourist place it's not as good as it used to be. Church is still very beautiful.

Weltenburg AbbeyVisited on 23/9/2019Our coach is parked at the foothill, and our group is transferred to smaller buses to the Abbey.Weltenburg is the oldest monastery in Bavari, situated near the entrance to the scenic Danube gorge. The church, dedicated to St George, within the compound is of baroque style. In fact, the guest house run by the Abbey is called the St George Guesthouse.The aroma of the cakes baking the in oven is too irresistible, and attract us to check out cafe.The abbey brewery is the oldest abbey brewery still in operation in the world, and the products are on sale. My friend buys a 5 litre Keg of Weltenburger Kloster Anno 1050 beer intends to be drunk when we depart Germany in a few days time.We then take a stroll along the river bank at the far end of the compound.

Visiting the world's oldest operating brewery and monastery is a worthwhile and underrated joy. The well-preserved church building has some amazing metalwork, sculpture, and painting to rival the most well-known cathedrals in Europe. The biergarten was wonderful, with great service, delicious food, and outstanding beer. There are plenty of places to relax and be at peace or sit with family and enjoy. The museum is small, and the brewery tours are usually booked out. Dog friendly paths and at the biergarten. Did not see wheelchair accessibility everywhere or to the church entrance.

Beautiful place to visit. There is a nice hiking area. The church is very old and very beautiful. The Biergarten has a nice bier on tap. Food was just ok, but bier must try. There is a nice well priced gift store. You can take a boat right from there. Parking is about 5-10 min walk from the place €4.50 all day.

Beautiful abbey secluded on the Danube river. Church built in Baroque style and architecture and paintings done by brothers... who put themselves into the art at the dome. See if you can find them!

I don't know what I can add that hasn't already been posted. A thousand-year-old. Abby is something you want to visit. The museum isn't very big but the cathedral is awesome. And if you like beer even a little bit this is a place to have one!

What a great day trip. Walking a lot the Danube and get a beer! This hike is nice along the Danube. There is an incline that was difficult for some in our party, but very doable. Crossing the river to get to the monastery is about 2€. And the boat ride back to town is about €9. Enjoyable day

If you want to buy clothes, this is probably the place to go. If you want to buy a chainsaw, funny colored crayons or a piano you may end up dissapointed. Bonus points for the chocolate store.

Ingolstadt Village is one of the many Bicester Collection shopping villages in Europe. You can reach this place by taking a train from Munich. A return train ticket cost EUR29. From the Ingolstadt train station, you can take a bus to the village. The bus ride takes approximately 15mins. At Ingolstadt Village, you can find many luxury brands here...from Gucci, Prada, Bally, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Armani, Coach, Kate Spade, Burberry and many others. The retail price of products sold here is between 20% to 50% off the normal price depending on the season. Good place for chillax with friends and family or simply for some shopping therapy. One can spend 4 hours or more just to explore the village and to discover the bargains offered by the many retail outlets here. A must visit place if you're in Munich be it for business or leisure.

Was a very great shopping experience! The place is actually worth the visit. It has a bit over one-hundred different brands which is good enough even if some brands like Adidas, Skechers, LV were not available. For sure it had amazing discounts like how an outlet is supposed to be and the staff in every store were very helpful and kind. It also has a very huge parking lot for people bringing their own cars. Too bad they dont have a lot of indoor restaurants for the people who come here and the food available were like currywurst and other german snack like food and they were like in stalls which had no chairs/tables. You can seat on the public seats around there but if it’s packed then you have to eat while standing… even if this is normal for german people, it is not for international customers who come here… so definitely have to work on that. Another very unfortunate thing is that going back and forth from Ingolstadt Hbf/Nord to the village there were only two buses in one hour and these two buses had like two minutes difference in departure time so if you miss these two you gotta wait for an hour which is quite long for these kinds of places. Although overall… great outlet for shopping!

The outlet shopping village is awesome for shopping fans, like my wife, and not me :)Take a train from Munich central station to Ingolstadt NORD station, around 1 hour + 10 minutes with bus no.20, you will be there. A lot of shops with reasonable prices, cheaper than Munich central Marienplatz twice. Recommend for weekend short trip.

Not as big as its sister villages in other town and countries but well packed with high end brands. Not many option for food.

It's a very nice place to visit and shop things from your favourite brands. Sometimes there are less collections & limited offers to pick from. But still worth a visit especially during the festive season and when there are season end sales.

General outlet stuff, if you’re interested in a specific brand, ok but not worth the trip, hard to find sizes and not so many stores actually. Burberry have their outlet merchandise, not high quality like the regular store; Gucci has all logos and kitch stuff; Balenciaga staff are very rude (i saw they have speed and some nano city bags); Loewe has very old and really the last remaining stuff; at Tod’s you can find cute stuff; Jimmy Choo also have nice shoes options plus the girls are really nice; Ralph Lauren has selection but the store is a mess and staff rude; Nike is the saddest store ever.There are one coffee shop, one champagne bar (which is actually more of a kiosk) and i think 2 restaurants, one “Italian” with pizza & pasta only and i don’t remember the other.

Nice boutique's village, many shops with clothеs and accessories. There are discounts on Easter Eve. Тhe Coffee Fellows has a very tasty warmed sandwich with salmon and red velvet cupcake.But the same village in Almosenberg is better, more pleasant.

Nice shopping area, /w free parking and WiFi but try to avoid weekends and pre-christmas time (lots of people!). 😅Many (mixed) brands:Luxury clothing, sportswear, accessoires, hand bags, kitchen utensils and much more...Most of them offer discounted prices, but some sizes or products are sometimes out of stock or not available.

Ingolstadt Village is a kind of mini city in itself. Outlets of well known and famous brands are available here at this place. Tourists are attracted to this place and is a must visit while visiting the southern city of Ingolstadt.I visited the place a few days ago. There are range of discounts available to consumers craving for their favorite brands. Not that big museum if you are expecting to see a lot of items inside (only two floors) but pretty enough for getting the first impression about Audi and its history. 2G+ is mandatory in these days.

The museum is next to the Audi factory. The tour starts at the top floor and it's walking through the entire history of the car manufacturer, especially the agitated period during the second world war. The highlight of the museum is a rotating elevator with different Audi motorsport cars. Factory tours are not included in the museum ticket. It's possible only during the week and booking in advance is recommended.

Quite a small museum by comparison, but they do have a couple of cool cars. They have a detailed history laid out with the exhibition, and would recommend taking the guided tour.

For an Audi enthusiast this is definitely a place to visit. It may not be a big museum but it does capture the history of the cars and surprisingly it wasn’t that busy. A few downsizes the gift shop I think is small than your average shop. If you want to do your the factory is better to book online as the tours get fill quickly. Don’t forget to present your parking card to receive free parking.

The museum is very interesting. From future to the past, from newest cars to concept cars and even the old ones. Everything is great and you can get inside even in wheelchair because there is ramp and inside is an elevator. Price for adult is only 5 euros for whole day.

Would have loved to have taken the full tour. I highly recommend booking it early so you are sure to get a spot. But just the walking tour was exceptional. Really enjoyed the layout and thorough presentation of all the facts and information. There are some great interactive videos and tutorials that describe the Audi automobiles. Again very informative and would have loved to get the full tour experience.

Small but with a nice collection of historical and racing Audi cars and motorcycles. The people there are friendly except near the closing hour they can’t wait any minute to throw you out of the museum as well as the shop. The Avus restaurant is highly recommended—food is great and pricing is reasonable, and the service there is great.

I would recommend visiting in the end of September or later, because the first floor, where the modern automobiles are, is closed until then.There are not only automobiles, but also motorcycles and bicycles. You can also see how the different details of automobiles work.You should schedule at least two hours to spend there, however it could easily turn into 3-4 hours. The entry costs 5 euros for adults.

Nice to visit this museum especially as previous owners of these cars! We took the train and arrived at Ingolstadt Audi station. It’s a good 30mins walk, but you get to see the different Audi buildings on route! The museum is nice to walk round in about 2 hours. It’s over 3 floors and you take the lift to the top floor and work your way down each floor. The top floor starts in the late 1800’s and you learn about August Horch who eventually set up Audi/Auto Union AG. Lots of beautiful cars to see and learn. I love how they show different engines and how they operate. The 1st floor had a separate exhibition and was in German which we couldn’t understand. There were also vintage cars on that same floor.It’s great to learn about the company and how it linked with other motor companies of its time. We did feel a bit confused as we followed the circular route on each floor. It didn’t quite have a smooth flow. One thing we liked was the information cards that you could take away and read in your own time. It meant that we had more time to look at the beautiful cars!!

Great museum, different from any other car museum with the crane that keeps turning and showing different cars. It’s easy to follow, explanstions are brief and there are some amazing cars. Unfortunatley there’s a lack of modern cars and it is a bit small in comparison to Porsche museum, for example. But it is really worth it. I recommend to check the website first, since first floor usually has temporary exhibitions and you might find it closed. I highly recommend the museum if you are in Bavaria (Bayern).

It is a great pleasure to be back at the Audi Forum in Ingolstadt, Germany, four years after my last visit in 2019. The Four Rings brand is Living with progress in the most inspiring way.

Average museum especially in comparison with Mercedes and BMW. But still there are enough interesting models of Audi and Horch. Makes sense to visit in case you're a fan of cars, for the rest it may be not much fun. Also there is a shop with new cars next to the museum.

Compared to the similar Document Centre we visited in Munich (which was free, this one wasn’t) there was far more information available.

Looks like it's having a major overhaul (Oct 22) so the interim exhibition is not much to look at. The building and structure is pretty amazing though. Look forward to visiting again when it's all done.

Temporary exhibit v informative with more experience of the victims and survivors of the awful regime. This must never happen again.

A must visit when in Nuremberg. Sobering and interesting.

Though currently under construction/refurbishment, it was still a good visit. Inside the museum there were a lot of displays covering the timeline and usage of the area since its inception to present day as well as memoirs and excerpts from historical documents. The walk around the really grounds was nice and the Zeppelin Grandstand was particularly impactful.

Heavy stuff, but super enlightening.I can’t imagine how crowded it would be on a busy day, but my party and I were able to take our time and not feel crowded.I recommend several breaks for fresh air like me if stuff like this can weigh you down.Several tours walked through while we observed, read, contemplated, interact with displays, and processed all this information ℹ️.Don’t be afraid to ask questions, it is alright to not know something. We are all here to learn.Time should be taken if distractions tend to be a problem, because I have issues staying still at all moments. There is a lot to take in and it’s easy to miss things.Take pictures, ask questions, and be willing to listen 🎧 👂 .

Wow, wow, wow. Excellent castle visit to the Imperial Castle.Located at the top of a hill, overlooking the city of Nuremberg, the Imperial Castle is reached after a serious climb uphill. Not difficult for the fully able ,it is a long rather arduous slog up to the courtyard.*******,Handicap VERY difficult , if not impossible, not made any easier by the cobblestone road .*********( that said, I did see a gentleman with a walker!!!)The museum entry is 7 Euros, 6 if you are a senior or a student.Wow----super excellent presentation and displays of the medieval history of this castle 🏰. Armaments, armor, clothing, artifacts, explanations and visuals were superb. One of the best. Great value for the money!!!!Restaurant in the courtyardBEST VIEWS OF NUREMBERG. Quite a beautiful little castle. Really great museum. Would recommend getting the combination ticket as the view from the top of the tower is really great and the deep well tour is quite a different experience. They also got a couple of eateries on site.

It was amazing to visit this imperial castle of Nuremberg. The constructions were protected with 3 layered thick wall with around 10 ft thickness and 2 stages of different heights. The tunnels, the rooms, the towers, the gardens, the dungeons, the underground pathways designs and the city view points were awesome to see. I felt like I entered in the Game of Thrones series.

Amazing medieval castle that have been kept so well.This is truly a castle with super strong defense.Not far from the city center market, easy to walk to. Free to walk into it and there is a good view of the old town.Even though Nuremberg was 90% destroyed during WWII, the old town was rebuilt and restored according to the pictures they had of the old buildings and structures. So, much of the history is preserved. Otherwise, if they had decided to build everything new, there would not be not much of the past left to see.Very impressive old town city market with a gorgeous fountain and church, and you can buy fantastic food, flowers, gingerbread cookies….If you are a WWII history fan, then you have a lot more places to see.Really worth visiting.

This iconic castle is likely more interesting from the outside than the inside.Due to destruction during WWII, most of the interiors are redone as a museum. The anvient weapons and armor displays are nice.Climbing up the tower was fun and offers great views. The deep well guided tour was the best part thanks to the enthusiastic and engaging guide.

Very impressive castle. A capital of European Kings from 11 till 16 centuries. Place where Holy Roman empire was ruled from. Building itself is really big on the top of the hill. Views around are amazing. Very strongly recommended!

Historical landmark & museum with commanding views out across the city. This is a must visit attraction if you’re in the city and would like to know about its foundation. Excellent exhibits, some interactive with translations available. Has a reasonably priced cafe and some gardens for relaxing in too. It can be a bit of a slog getting up the hill though. There may be accessible ways to get there that I did t see.

Great views of the old city from here. There’s a nice cafe and gift shop at the top. It’s worth the walk up for the views and the way back down is dotted with great places to eat and drink. Definitely recommend this if you’re in town.

This is a sprawling wonder. You can wander around the grounds, inside and out, for hours. There are many small and large secrets to discover. And much light a good piece of art, it changes dramatically with the light of day and night.

The well tour is very good and a must do, the tower has great views and the pictures of the WW2 damage are a great addition - The museum itself has good info on the building and its years and associated history, better than I expected and staff very friendly

Medieval castle and museum where you get to learn something about the history of Germany starting from roman empire. This castle and the city Nuremberg are very different than what I have seen before in Europe. View of the city from the tower is very beautiful, approximately 100 stairs to climb.

It has a really good view of the city. View point is open all the time,but the castle is closed on holidays and the weekend. Spent the new years eve here, and the view point was very much crowded.Inside it has a museum, a deep well, and a tower where you can take a better view of the city.

The castle itself offers free entry and plenty of areas to relax. Exploring its various sections, like the converted horse stables and food storage areas, is best with a knowledgeable local guide to delve into its history. Though it requires a bit of uphill walking, the panoramic view from the top makes it all worthwhile, showcasing the city's landmarks and beauty.

I still can't believe that the castle is still in such good shape after the Second World War. Breathtaking, massive, magnificent. When you go up to the top and look out over the town, you get a sense of why they built the castle where it is. I cannot get over how impressive it is. Also, Nuremberg is still surrounded by the great city walls. It takes about an hour to walk around them. That's the great thing about the city. You can walk anywhere and it never takes more than 30 minutes to get to the other side of the city centre. Best of all, while you are exploring the city on foot, you will find many other gems on your walking adventure. From bridges to churches and other lovely old buildings. Enjoy!🏰✨️Little tip: During weekdays you can enter the inside of the castles for free. That is in the morning until 10am or so

All a traveler needs. 'Small room' but adequate. As a single South African traveler, this truly fits my budget and jackpot breakfast included. Very close to Nurmberg main DB/train station. At night could be noisy, but accommodation, friendliness, neatness, simplicity, breakfast makes up for this over and over. I'm so glad I found this place!

This is a beautiful place to visit. It has a very steep cobbled path leading up to the entrance and a lot of steps inside. I bought the combination ticket which was worth it. The castle is well presented inside with educational displays. The tower is 112 steps up a spiral staircase, but the views from the top were beautiful. The tour to the well was funny and fascinating. The tour guide knew his stuff.

At a very affordable price you can get up the tower and explore the whole museum throughout with very good replicas and original works and also very kind staff that even explained stuff without me asking 🍀Some of the biggest handguns I've seen.

Very beautiful palace and gardens. Worth a visit. The interior is accesible only through German guided tours.

Gorgeous gardens to stroll around and even some hilly or steeper paths if you're feeling up for it. In summertime, the fountains do a little show on the hour. Tours in German or with a printout in English.

Book the tour to see the old castle. The interior fountain show is beautiful. We did the tour in German, not sure if it is available in English.

You need to get tickets for the tour of the castle and the tour is 1h long, but really worth it. The lady, who was our tour guide was excellent. She really transported us back in time while telling us the important stories of the palace. The 1 hour flew by. The palace is not like your usual palace, but it feels more like a residence / home with hidden secrets. I definately recommend booking a tour (we had the tour in German). It is also not that expensive.

Perfect attraction for even a difficult traveller. Unfortunately we visited this extremely beautiful place on a raining day but the beauty of it can't stop us unconditionally enjoying our very good time with the nature and manaficent design.

The outside green field and garden are beautiful and free. But you must go into the palace. It is a hidden gem.

I visited on a rainy Friday morning and walked virtually alone through the vast gardens, awestruck with the beauty of man, nature and time. Among the highlights are striking allees flanked by hornbeam hedges, some quite mature. Beautiful walks, water features, flower plantings, mature tree specimens, linden promenades. Sweet little hotel with a very friendly personal and a nice view from the 4th floor! Perfect for visiting Bamberg for a few days or just a weekend. The location couldn’t be better - it’s in the heart of the city and still very quiet.

The hotel at the centre of Bamberg. The furnitures is quite old and the extra bed was broken. The underground parking was big enough but it was quite expensive.

Overall it is a nice hotel in a great location within walking distance to some great sights and places to eat. Hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious with a comfy bed, BUT there was a very strong sewer smell in the bathroom and the shower was small and in a triangular shape so it was difficult to have a shower.I would stay again

My husband and I arrived, during Christmas Market time. The concierge's name was Abdullah, who was very professional, personable and helpful. This hotel was close to the festivities and had underground parking. Parking fee was $20 euro for the parking, which was convenient not trying to find parking elsewhere or the possibility of walking long distances, with suitcases. The room and bathroom were very clean, location mostly quiet (in the middle of the night, there were people smoking and speaking loudly outside, which wasn't the hotel's fault), beds and pillows were comfortable and the temperature pleasant. If one didn't want to eat at the hotel, Cafe Luitpold was nearby with a delicious, fresh and nutritious breakfast. If we would travel again to Bamberg, we would consider this hotel again.

Located at the heart of the city, definitely worth to be there if you plan to explore around. Service there is good, reasonable breakfast options, so have at it and get out to explore!

I stayed in this hotel for three nights and the staff was friendly during my stay. The room they gave me was spacious, but basically equipped, which is common for Ibis hotels. The bathroom was tiny and the holder for the shower head was broken, so it was uncomfortable to have a shower. The WIFI was fast and I liked the quiet location of the hotel not directly on the main shopping/entertainment street.

The only modern/budget hotel in the old town. Ask for rooms facing the street side (better view) and ending in 15 or 19 (larger). Not the best Ibis shower that I know (they're generally excellent), the shower floor levels with the bathroom (don't wash too enthusiastically), and there's a GREY shower curtain that doesn't let light it (now that's a first-timer!).

This is our 2nd time visiting this Hotel. Would recommend as everything was done to make a comfortable stay. The staff were excellent. Cannot fault the Hotel.

The central location is by far the best feature is this Ibis Bamberg Altstadt - you are just five minutes waking from Altes Rathaus, in the heart of the old town. The installations are very clean and functional. The bathroom is extremely small and they charge for the subterranean parking, which is something I didn’t see in the website. But anyway, in terms of cost benefit, it is definitely well worth.

Everything was great here!!! Breakfast, Clean rooms, quiet warm place, park for additional Euros, but not much. Excellent Staff service as they are very nice and kind.The location is another great item, very close to the most popular city tourist attractions.I do recommend it.

Historic house well located in the center with friendly staff. While rooms are clean and big enough, they lack atmosphere (I guess that can be expected from an Ibis?) and some maintenance (dents in furniture, plastic covers of light switch and remote control broken,...). Breakfast is OK to good, paid parking available and WiFi is slow (unless you pay extra).

My worst stay in a hotel so far. I decided with my partner to spend a weekend in Bamberg and choose the one in Altstadt as a better choice (there is another Ibis in that town). We checked-in on Saturday and paid the bill as requested by the personnel standing in front of the desk. We had even a nice chat with him. The next day, I was asking for a late check-out (as Silver member I should have it). However Mr. Stanislav T. extended it up to one hour, i.e., 1pm, as according to him there were no availability. But the worst had still to come in terms of hospitality. When we came back after our morning walk, Mr. Stanislav T. called us from the desk and said that we need to pay an extra 30 Eur with explanation that we did not pay for the second guest. This is where I draw the line between being a loyal member of Accor and been blamed by its staff to not have paid the full fee. See, I do not pay for a hospitality service to get blamed by staff on mistakes that they make themselves.The gentleman who checked us in saw both of us and if there was something missing in our booking he should have pointed that out at that time and things would have been solved. But no, in IBIS Bamber you never know what will come. Each time you pass by the reception desk you can be approached or even called and be blamed for your booking.Despite my arguments to Mr Stanislav that the escalation he is doing was an error that the hotel had to do with, he kept escalating the situation in front of the lobby - what a hospitality. I kept telling him that he is holding a yellow sticker in his hands showing that the hotel knew that there were two people booked for that room. But no, Mr Stanislav T. become more aggressive, where I said I am going to complain to Accor; He actually threatened me to put me in Accor's "red list" so that I would never be able to book a Accor hotel.In short, you pay a pricey night for a better service, you perform the payment as asked by the staff following check-in procedures, and what you get back is blame, red-list and hard-feelings.I will follow this up with Accor and see how they are going to manage this situation. But I won't leave this to sleep. No, no Sir - an apology and a bottle of water that you offered me at the end, which I did not accept, after what you said are not a way on how customers are treated.

The cathedral of Bamberg is definitely one of the greatest buildings in the city. By the time we arrived there it was already closed, but we could appreciate the external architecture nonetheless; next to the cathedral there’s also a garden which is worth the visit.

What a historic building right at the center of Bamberg and close to the old rathaus. The cathedral portrays Catholic over a millennium aga and the richness it offers through history of Church for the people of Bamberg.Monuments are nicely spaced out as the hall is large (with ongoing constructions of the podium).There's underground sitting place unfortunately locked and out of access to visitors as of yesterday. However you'll still find enough to go round and appreciate the beauty of it's architecture or see God in the splendor of how the people of Bamberg largely perceived as Catholics.Sure during mass one find another atmosphere to observe institution of church at service to it's members. However as visitor it's already enough to enjoy sightseeing. Nearby you'll find various attractions and city life, rose flower garden, eateries and museums. There's nothing to miss visiting this cathederal.

A marvelous medieval church with a really long history dating back to 11th century, its construction was only finished by 13th century. It is amazing to see a mixture of both Romanesque and gothic styles within the same cathedral. The four imposing church towers is a sight to admire from a distance. It has many interesting relics and an underground chapel, which makes it unique from other churches I have visited.It is a burial tomb of Henry II and Pope Clement II, which makes it the only church to have a Papal grave in Germany. Located on a small hill top, can be reached through a small walk from the old town.

Beautiful place, very nice detailed architecture, interesting paintings and there’s actually a pope inside!! It’s in a pretty touristy historical area, totally recommended if you’re around.

Beary impressive architecture! As well as its size. It was a really cool feeling standing among those old magnificent buildings. I didn’t visit inside though, but I’m sure it’s at least as cool as the outside 🐻⛪️🤩If you’re interested in churches I might think it’s a must-see, if you’re visiting Bamberg 📍☝️😁

I always find it fascinating to visit churches wherever I go. And European Churches are particularly grand and imposing. I'm not an expert with architecture, but surely I know how to appreciate one whenever I see them.

Monumental cathedral with a lot of history and importance!Built in the 13th century - to the form as we see today - it's one of the most sacred buildings in Germany, and indeed from the outside the architecture is stunning distinguishing the cathedral by four majestic towers visible from most parts of the city. Even though the cathedral was under construction I was still able to admire its beauty, I especially appreciate the detailed Prince's portal on the side of the cathedral.From the inside it was a bit let down. Yes, seeing the horseman, the most significant work of art in the cathedral, alongside the organs and the interior was great, but nothing mind blowing - judging strictly from the design perspective, not the cultural heritage. There are simply more beautiful cathedrals around Germany. From up close I was able to see The Tomb of the Saintly Imperial couple and the horsem*n, unfortunately the cathedra, papal tomb (the only place north of Alps with buried pope) and the fresco of The Second Coming of Christ at the apse were fenced, therefore not able to admire from up close in details.There is no organized tour inside nor you can go to one of its towers (let down for me as I like seeing places from above), but you can purchase a small brochure for 1 EUR to help you navigate through the place. Be aware that opening hours may vary due to masses (during my time of visit the cathedral was closed between 12:00 and 12:30). Free entry. Visited in July 2022.

If you're in the area and interested in history - visit this one!It cost me 10€ entry, and then I headed inside. There's a lift, but if you want to truly see everything, you cannot avoid the stairs. Overall there are about 500 of them, but as I combined lift with stairs, I climbed about 250, I guess.The view from the top is nice, but the one from the Panorama Tower in the city is way better.

I enjoyed this monument more than I thought I would. The big statues reminded me of ancient statues. The acoustics inside are pretty good. The whole experience is maze-like, going up the narrow stairways. The views at the top are great. Remember to get your ticket below, before you climb the stairs to the entrance.

It is a really beautiful monument. Great architecture and a beautiful scenery. We were able to watchthe sunset there and it was amazing.

Very beautiful. Paying just €10 (€8 for students) you can go up to the very top of the monument climbing 500 steps in narrow spaces, the tiring way is totally worth it the view! Furthermore you can enter in the museum nearby and see ancient exhibits from the battle of nations.

Very peaceful to visit. It feels like a very secular monument to the Prussian people who endured Napoleon’s invasion. It take peace time to build such a monument. Unfortunately the peace time would not last with the start of World War 1 and the damage is from World War 2.In the United States we are letting our World War 1 monuments crumble and allowing capitalism to take over our sense of duty. A concept most Americans can not grasp, but something Germans understand. This is a place of mourning but today it is a place to enjoy life with families.

This monument is in a beautiful, historical location and is still incredibly large and well-kept. You are welcome to go there and explore it with your friends and family. Visit on a sunny day.

The entrance is a bit steep but when you enter, you realise why. You realise the importance of the battle (and of the monument) as well overall when you get into the crypt. The views from the top are nice but not spectacular. Don't miss the video (it is well done, without languages) and the external entrance of the hall of fame (the only thing not understood from me is why there is not an internal access to this level).

I must say the monument was very impressive. Entrance was 10 euros with an extra 2 euros for the audio guide. I would recommend that you take the audio guide as it gives you so much more information. The audio guide is available in English. There are 350 plus steps to get to the top but the views of Leipzig are spectacular. The museum covers the battle itself. This is where the audio guide really does come into it's own. It gives a view from the people that lived in Leipzig at the time of the battle and explains some of the exhibits and the reason for the battle. We spent approximately 3 hours here and another 40 minutes at cafe at the other end of the monument

One of the fifteen national monuments referred to as "Denkmals" this is the largest although in this authors opinion not the most impressive. Although it is impressive. If you come to Leipzig this is absolutely a must see.

A great place to see historical moments from WWI ( weapons, uniforms and buildings) which happened in Leipzig, and for sure the most that we loved about this place was the top of the building that shows the whole city around! It was breathtaking and deserves a visit!

It’s a huge architecture for a monument. A monument backed with German nationalist motivation while it was built but it’s least been memorialized now and people are more looking at the architecture.It’s possible to get to middle viewing floor with two different lifts but the top observation deck is only accessible by very narrow and long stairs.

If you want to make it to the top viewing platform, be prepared for narrow staircases because the elevator does NOT go all the way to the top.This is one of those monuments where the focus has shifted from what it commemorates to the monument itself. very nice monument with stunning view on top although it is a tiring climb, you could use a lift but you still have to climb about 150 steps of stairs to reach the top. there is also a museum next to it which is included in the ticket.

Absolutely stunning place!!!A place that I recommend to visit from the bottom of my soul.Read a bit about this place before you go to visit!!!You don't need to book yourself, and you dont need a guide, only tickets that cost approximately 10 euros per person.The interior is something special, with an amazing view on the whole city.The elevator is not going all the way up, and the staircase is narrow . Monumental place with really majestic sculptures. You can go to the very top, just that the staircase is very narrow.Few of the exhibitions were behind closed doors.

The tallest standing monument of Europe signifies the battle between Napoleon against the troops from Prussia, Austria and Sweden. The colossal monument is around 15-20min ride from the central station. To go on top you need tickets.

We didn't get to go inside because of lack of time but it was really cool to see even from the outside. Something that looks so out of place in a European setting. Amazingly built. You do have to climb a bunch of stairs to go up to the main floors...for those who are physically disabled. But I think there is an elevator somewhere inside.

Guys if anyone has Claustrophobia don't try it ever the stairs to climbing up about 400 ladder and gradually narrowing, and the ceiling is narrowing too like you are going to grave I recommended the place is good landscape is beautiful from up

Leipzig Hauptbahnhof - once rated as the best/most beautiful central station in the entire of Europe.

This place is warm with so much buying and selling activities going on. Seeing many good things. For kids is a fun jolly outing. It's a beautiful arena to visit.

This station is very big, but it is really easy to find the way. Electronic devices such as ticket machines, the screens are well thought and useful

Awesome architecture. Probably One of the largest train station I have visited in Germany. The shopping mall on the 1st floor has many restaurants and cafes. Plenty of options to choose from.

Always good to come back to this place. Amazing building and exciting underground shopping arcade with a wide variety of outlets. Very clean

If the Berlin station looks pretentious and modern, then the Leipzig station takes you back 100 years into the past.

Super convenient, many shops.The architecture is very impressive too.At the same time, it's noisy, it's crowded. Well, it's a railway station after all.

So far the nicest Bahnhof I've seen in Germany, always busy with people passing through and people just coming to shop. As it houses so many great stores to shop in over 3 levels with so many things to see and amazing food options. You can't come to leipzig without seeing it as it is the main train station. Even made more lovely around Christmas or as they say Weinachten, as lots more food stalls open up.

The largest in Europe.. 😍 Best train station I have been! 👌 With multiple railways and connecting Trips to offer.. A Subway can also be found in this big trainstation... And no worry for having a long connecting Trips, a mall is also within the Station. Various Restaurants and Shops available..

Beautiful Christmas decorations inside of the building, which adds up to the uniqueness of the historical building.

I think Leipzig hbf is one of the most beautiful train station in Europe or arguably the world .The architecture interior and exterior , the old trains on the last railroad, the classical music outside , the shops and restaurants and the Extreme Central location .

Beautiful Zoo.It was a rainy day. Perfect because it wasn too crowded.Parking: The best place to park is in the parking garage directly opposite the entrance. Good and not too expensive.Food: Everywhere in the zoo there is the possibility to eat and drink something. I can recommend the restaurant at the giraffe enclosure with a view of giraffes and zebras.The large cafe is really big and tastes very good.I recommend to take some water with you because the prices for food and drink are sometimes high

Definitely worthy of visiting. Don't regret the decision at all. The aquarium was wonderful. Saw most of the animals as we sticked to the route on map. The boat trip was out of the world experience and was worth 2 euros more. Overall a happy feeling to have visited here.

Leipzig Zoo has a decent variety of animals, and some exhibits were enjoyable. However, my experience was not so good as several animals were missing during my visit. Moreover, the food prices were very high and the overall atmosphere felt too crowded. The habitats were all designed very nicely and I absolutely love all the themes within the park. There’s a range of animals and the Africa habitat was impressive! I took the rainforest tour boat and I would say not to expect too much! It’s more of a seeing the rainforest from a different perspective than seeing animals up close. In addition, some of the exhibitions didn’t have English explanations and not all staff can speak English. Some of the staff weren’t very friendly towards English speaking tourists. The zoo design is one of the best design I have ever seen, you get to be super closed to the animals in various angle!

Fantastic! We were getting in very fast with our online tickets. It's better to print out. The whole zoo was great. Plenty extra attractions for kids too. Boat ride was amazing as well. We had a great time. Easily needed 6,5 hours. At the moment the Aquarium is closed due to renovation. We are definitely going to come back.

The layout and theming of this zoo is excellent and at times it felt more like a theme park (especially in Gondwanaland). Food prices and availability is good, even on a busy day, and the enclosures are far more creative than places like Berlin. Admittedly we did struggle to see some of the animals at times, particularly the monkeys who were hidden in their huge enclosures. I’ll definitely go back, though next time not on a public holiday.

Our family spent the day at the Zoo! It was such a wonderful time! Walking through Gondwanaland was a highlight! Definitely recommend checking it out! :)The only negative thing is, on crowded days, the pathways are so narrow that it makes for a bit of closterfobic experience (especially the path through Pongoland). Nice Zoo Garden very accesibile, just a short walk from Center. I visited it a few years back and I liked it more then. Maybe now it has more fast food places and less animals, or maybe they were just hidden or taking a break. Plenty of space for animals, very natural environment and you have to be lucky to be in the right place and the right time to see the animals. I liked also the Amazonian place. Enjoyed Leipzig, clean and full of nice places to see. Good food and drinks. Zoo and parks are a big plus.

I was incredibly impressed with this zoo. I’ve been to multiple zoos in North America and Australia and this one was the most impressive. I couldn’t get over how incredible the tropical building was, and just how BIG it was! The prices were also very reasonable, and food inside was not too overly expensive. I could easily have spent an entire day just exploring half of this wonderful zoo.

The zoo is wonderful and I had a great experience. The animals look well taken care of and I would like to visit again during the summer for the different activities.

My highlight of the zoo is the tropical boat trip. Highly recommended, it's only 2€per person. You feel like you are in the tropical rainforest, and the sound of nature is unbelievable. There is a small tree bridge to walk above to see overall of this jungle. Also a nice restaurant for you to sit and relax and be with nature hearing birds and other animals. Other parts of the zoo are very nice too, especially the big restaurant where you can see the animals walking around you.

The Museum itself i love and would give 5 stars. The first time i visited, 5 stars all around. I love the history.Second visit though, I was in Goethes carriage haus alone to calm down as i was crying. Before I got in the Museum, i got my tickets fine but going to the Audio guide desk, I wasnt sure what to ask for and the lady there gave me the nastiest shrug and look. It made me not know what to say so i just walked away. I didnt need an Audio guide anyway. But her expression really hurt me and i felt like a terrible person so when i got in the Museum i cried in Goethes carriage house to calm down. I then went through the Museum haus and saw my favorite parts, but the visit wasnt as long as the first time because of the sour attitude.It really meloncholied my day Weimar.I do love the Museum house because I study music history - particularly Mendelssohn, who met Goethe many times at this very house. I write books on music and currently doing a second edition of my Mendelssohn biography after having visited these places. I can be descriptive in my book about the look of the house and the rooms.

Underwhelming after seeing Goethe’s museum in Frankfurt which was nicer in my opinion. Nice things to see but not a lot of information if you do not understand German fully. The garden in the back is beautiful.

The place is very well-kept. The audioguide is really helpful and the story is very interesting. My favorite part of the house was the garden, it has so many beautiful flowers and plants! It's a must-see in Weimar and in Germany in general.
